The Healgen Rapid Antigen (COVID-19) test is intended for the quick detection of COVID-19 antigens. This lateral flow covid test is only meant for use by medical professionals such as nurses and doctors. Healgen Antigen Test kit is one of only three UK Government assessed Rapid Antigen Tests.
The Healgen COVID-19 Antigen Test has been evaluated with specimens obtained from patients and the results show it has a high overall relative accuracy.
COVID-19 is an acute respiratory infectious disease that has killed over 128,000 people in the UK and infected over 4.49 milion others.
Despite the UK’s strong vaccination program, the pandemic is not over yet. Coronavirus cases are still spreading, particularly among asymptomatic people. According to the NHS, around one in every three people are asymptomatic, meaning that they have Coronavirus but do not display any symptoms.

According to the World Health Organization, COVID-19’s incubation period is 5-6 days on average, but this can go up to 14 days. Studies show that the virus is most infectious within 3 days of showing symptoms. During the acute phase of the COVID-19 infection, antigens are generally detectable in the upper respiratory tract in the nose and throat. Rapid diagnoses of COVID-19 will help healthcare professionals treat patients, control the virus, more importantly, save lives. The Healgen COVID-19 Test is used to diagnose SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. It detects the presence of Coronavirus proteins in a sample drawn from the surface of the posterior nasopharynx and gives results in as little as 15 minutes. Follow these procedures to collect the specimen from the patient to test the result. Read the full instructions from the product insert for how to collect the specimen and how to prepare the samples for the test. Please see the ‘INSTRUCTIONS’ tab for more information.
STEP 1
Collect specimen from
patient’s nostril using the swab
STEP 2
Prepare the sample in the
extraction tube using extraction buffer.
STEP 3
Place 4 drops of prepared sample in the
sample well. Get the results in 15 mins.
When used according to the included instructions, the testing kit will produce one of three results:
POSITIVE: The presence of two lines at control line (C) and test line (T) indicates a positive COVID-19
test result (even if one of the lines is faint).
NEGATIVE: The presence of only the control line (C) indicates a negative COVID-19 test result.
INVALID: If there is no control line (C) after performing the test, the result is invalid

STORAGE: The kit can be stored at room temperature. It can also be refrigerated between 2-30 degrees Celsius. The kit must remain in its sealed pouch until it is used. The test must not be frozen and it must not be used beyond the expiration date printed on the sealed pouch.
