Healgen COVID-19 IGG/IgM Rapid (AntiBODY Test KIT (BOX OF 25 TESTS)

The Healgen COVID-19 IgG/IgM (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) Rapid Antibody Test is designed for the quick detection of COVID-19 antibodies. Antibodies can be detected in samples 1 to 3 weeks after a COVID-19 infection. This test is intended to screen for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. It is not for detecting active cases of COVID-19. If you want to test for active infections, use a Healgen Antigen Test.
The rapid COVID-19 antibody test helps people identify whether they’ve had COVID-19 in the past.
NEED TO TEST FOR ACTIVE COVID-19 CASES?
In December, the government approved Healgen rapid “lateral flow” antigen testing kits for public use. These are for identifying active cases of COVID-19 whereas the above antibody testing kit is for detecting previous infections. You can purchase Healgen antigen kits by clicking here.
Coronaviruses are enveloped RNA viruses that are common among humans and other mammals. They cause respiratory diseases like COVID-19, typically resulting in mild common cold symptoms. In older, vulnerable, or immunocompromised people, they can cause serious illnesses and even death.
Currently, there is a general circulation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that has led to the ongoing worldwide coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19 is particularly problematic because the majority of those infected do not display any symptoms, meaning that they unknowingly spread the virus around. In addition, SARS-CoV-2 spreads much more rapidly than other coronaviruses, more people become ill more quickly.
Current epidemiological research suggests that COVID-19’s incubation period is 1 to 14 days, with most infections taking hold within 3 to 7 days. The main symptoms of the disease include a new or continuous dry cough, a loss of taste or smell, fatigue, and a temperature or fever.
After a person has had COVID-19, their blood will contain antibodies. These are immune system cells that are specific to and “remember” COVID-19 antigens, so that if the virus re-enters the body, it can quickly be fought off by these antibodies before the person comes ill with an active infection.
The Healgen COVID-19 Antibody Test is an in vitro test for the detection of monoclonal SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein antibodies in whole blood samples after drops from a sample have been added to the virtual transport media from individuals who suspect they may have had a previous case of COVID-19. The rapid COVID-19 antibody test is intended to quickly indicate whether a patient has had a previous COVID-19 infection. It is not for identifying active infections and should not be used to carry out a test on somebody who has COVID-19 symptoms.
At the moment, the scope for antibody test results is limited, and testing via the NHS is only available to healthcare workers. However, antibody tests and results may become important for evidencing immunity in line with government guidance when restrictions are eased and industries such as travel & tourism begin to re-open.
It is important to keep following government guidance, including adhering to restrictions, following social distancing, and wearing masks even if you have a positive antibody test.

POSITIVE: If there is no line at IgM but there is a line at IgG, a distant infection has been detected. If there is a line at IgM, an acute or recent infection has been detected.

NEGATIVE: No line at IgG and IgM means that the patient has not been exposed or that it is too early to tell.

INVALID: An invalid test result indicates that the test was not carried out correctly and should be re-done.
